This past friday I was able to throw a holiday bowling party for the girls at Aviva Family & Children Services in Los Angeles. It’s a home for teenage girls who either are court ordered to be placed due to run-ins with the law, violence, domestic abuse, abandonment, drugs etc or get removed from the home…the girls range from 13-17 years old & live in this home for 6 months. Some return…and some don’t.
I was asked if I can be a guest speaker for the girls back in Oct. The center explained to me that they really don’t get to meet to many young successful women & they’d hope I could come & give them a motivational speech & share my story. Of course I jumped at the chance! Originally I had planned a bowling party for my 15 year old girl but had to cancel it cause of your regular adolescent mis-behaviors, so instead I asked her if she was willing to donate her time to help, she couldn’t have been more excitied, so along with her 14 year old sister we were able to give them a Holiday Bowling party…
With the help of a few donations I was able to pull it off…decorations, food, gift bags…oh it was dope!
Shout-out to DJ Eman, Alisa A., Joseph L., Karina P., my girl La La, for supporting the event & for donating time & money
Thank you so much!
Next year I’m going bigger with sponsors, celebrities & more teens in need!
I’ll come bug you to help ;/ xoxo
A special shout out to my beautiful girls Ashley & Valerie…I love you both so much!
